General Counsel

As our General Counsel you will be responsible for all legal, regulatory, compliance, and government affairs. As we grow, you will be responsible for developing our legal strategy, both in scaling our internal legal team, and coordinating our external partners.

Job Responsibilities

Work with operational teams as legal needs arise, ranging from new office leases to understanding regulation governing us in new jurisdictions that we enter

Lead all relationships with external legal counsel as needed

Inventory and assess existing legal risks across the company, develop a strategy for mitigating risks appropriately

Join our executive team and participate in key business decisions (e.g. new market entry)

Qualifications

An experienced attorney with J.D. with bar admission in good standing in at least one state plus appropriate licensing to act as in-house counsel in California

3+ years of work experience

Can do attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get into the details of the business and legal work of the company
