the dtx company is building a direct connection engine by creating direct experiences to generate brand awareness; designing smart technology to mechanize the customer acquisition journey; and partnering with founders and talent to accelerate and sustain business growth.

Your objective:

- You will serve as a core member of the leadership team, overseeing the legal structuring and sustained growth of the dtx company as we build new technologies, consider new investments, and develop new partnerships.

- You will oversee all legal strategy and advise on business decisions that span product, patents, privacy, deal structuring, intellectual property, and overall regulatory, commercial, and corporate compliance.

How you know you are successful:

- You will develop and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements and contracts, including partner agreements, NDAs, influencer agreements, employment contracts, privacy statements, data and privacy policies, and more.

- You will counsel on all product initiatives, considering law and risk factors such as privacy, patents, and other industry-specific regulations, while ensuring the utmost compliance with regulatory standards and the security and trust of our clients and consumers.

- You will architect the overall structure of the dtx company’s legal organization, developing the company’s standards, policies, and procedures that make it among the most trusted, safe, and respected places to work and/or partner.

- You will oversee the selection of outside legal teams, serving as the main point of contact with external vendors, managing costs effectively, and ensuring a balance of internal execution and outside counsel. You are comfortable working through tasks big and small but also know when and how to outsource for the sake of efficiency.

What you have in your toolkit:

- You have at least 10+ years of progressive legal experience, ideally having worked both in a top-tier firm as well as in-house at a high-growth consumer enterprise. You have a JD from a respected institution and are a member of the NY bar.

- You have legal experience that ranges widely across commercial expansion, privacy, intellectual property, employment law, corporate governance and more. What direct experience you lack you make up for with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and push innovation. You have a particular curiosity and interest in direct-to-consumer commerce.

- You are flexible, appreciate working across numerous teams and challenges at any given time, and thrive in an agile, fast-moving work environment. You unrelentingly mitigate legal risk while maintaining a business-minded approach.

- Your drive, tenacity, and get-it-done attitude is matched only by your unwavering ethics, discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness. You are well equipped with a strong perspective and low ego.
