General Counsel

inLighten, Inc., a 30 year company located in Clarence, New York specializing in digital communications and marketing tools for businesses in national and international markets is seeking a full-time General Counsel. The GC handles a variety of legal matters for the organization and its affiliates. The GC works both independently and in a team setting and advises the Company’s Management and employees in all of its business transactions, tracks all legal matters, transactions, government filings, insurance requirements and litigation and works with outside counsel and other providers as required. The GC needs to be versed in a variety of areas, including Corporate, Business, Real Estate, Employment, Intellectual Property, Contracts, Human Resources, Corporate Finance, Corporate Compliance and Corporate Governance. The GC is also involved in negotiations connected with various transactions and proceedings involving the Company and in preparing contracts and other appropriate legal documents as needed to advance and protect the company’s legal interests MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Juris Doctor Degree, admission to the New York State Bar, minimum 3 years’ experience either in a Corporate Counsel position or private practice with emphasis on representation of corporate clientele. Successful candidates will be able to exhibit strong communication, negotiation, analytical, writing and human relations skills.
