We are looking for a General Counsel to add value to and bea partner in the growth of our business. You will lead transactions, oversee compliance, and have a seat at the table in making the company grow through responsible management and strategic development.

The successful candidate will be able to ensure legal compliance and limit risk exposure while getting things done to build value. The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure that company contracts follow policies and legal guidelines. He or she will also work with our executive team to ensure that the company is always in compliance with cannabis and business process laws.

Responsibilities

· Deal with complex, significant matters and transactions that cut across legal and related areas

· Manage outside counsel and budgets

· Provide legal guidance to the executive staff on all matters that affect the company

· Attend executive-level meetings related to the future direction of the company, pending mergers and acquisitions, and changes in policy

· Manage the compliance, risk management and legal services for the company

· Deal with external parties(regulators, external counsel, politicians, clients)

· Create vendor and other form contracts and contractor agreements

· Ensure that the company compliance with all current industry requirements

· Keep abreast of legislative changes

Qualifications and Skills

· JD required

· 7+ years’ legal practice experience

· Proven understanding of corporate transactions, management ability, general knowledge and experience with regulatory and general corporate matters

· Well-versed in how business operate with financial acumen

· Outstanding communication and organizational skills

· Must be willing to be located in headquarters
