General Counsel

We are looking for a Chief Compliance Officer & General Counsel to lead on compliance and policy initiatives and to provide legal advice on contractual and day-to-day business needs The successful candidate will be passionate about our mission to democratize access to care and will be responsible for designing processes and procedures to allow RubiconMD’s business to thrive. This is an exciting opportunity to become a strategic advisor in a fast-growing mission-driven organization.

Key responsibilities will include:
Creating and updating policies and procedures, contract templates and standard language

Overseeing and managing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Managing security reviews and key customer tech audits

Building and strengthening relationships with partners and external stakeholders

Drafting and negotiating contracts with health plans & systems, including service agreements and

business associate agreements

Designing and rolling out communications strategy (internal and external)

Overseeing employment and HR considerations, including equity planning and policies

Desired skills and experience:
J.D. degree or equivalent and admission to a state bar

10+ years’ legal practice experience in a legal, regulatory & compliance environment

Deep knowledge of the healthcare landscape, policy, and macro trends

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

Ability to close deals and projects in timely fashion

Strong communication and organizational skills

Understanding of business principles and mature judgment on legal and business matters
