Provide legal advice, guidance, and interpretation on a wide range of governance, corporate, contract, real estate, employment issues and other legal issues.
Draft and review Global Ministries contracts
Provide legal advice and guidance regarding contract compliance matters while managing and streamline contracts and agreements
Build and provide oversight of the company's external legal network.
Update legal documents and templates to reflect legal best practices and company standard operating procedures.
Build relationships with leadership and executive staff
Conduct and complete legal research and provide legal guidance and training to board and executive leadership
Represent Global Ministries in administrative hearings concerning employees as requested.
Provide legal services in support of Global Ministries’ relations with its board and federal and state agencies.
Provide legal services in support of Global Ministries’ risk management program.
Serve as legal advisor to Bylaws committee and consult on all changes to Board’s bylaws and policies and Global Ministries supported General Conference resolutions
Serve as legal advisor to staff handling Property Management matters.
Be a resource for parliamentary procedure and other board related legal matters
Participate with Board committees as requested to advise on legal matters or discuss possible legal programs to be implemented through the board and its committees

Qualifications

Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and summarize laws and legal documents.
Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make accurate, concise, and persuasive presentations to Global Ministries’ Board and administration.
Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive complaints and inquiries.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, board members and executive leadership
Highly motivated self-starter with leadership qualities.
Proficient in producing and understanding written contractual agreements and legal documents.
Meet challenges with resolutions, urgency and willingness to see through to implementation.
Ability to utilize his/her strategic vision and passion to achieve exceptional results that coincide with the goals and philosophies of the company and drive legal efficiency and corporate responsibility.
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and summarize laws and legal documents.
Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
 

Applicants must hold a current, valid license to practice law in Georgia or be eligible for licensure under Georgia law, a law degree from an accredited law school and a minimum of ten years of experience in contract, negligence law and/or employment law
