General Counsel

We are looking for a General Counsel who will be able to take us through the legal aspects of everything here at Cytora. We are looking for someone entrepreneurial who has solid experience working for a high growth company. You should be excited by the growth prospects of the business and the opportunity of working on multi-million pound deals with autonomy over the legal structure.

We will also encourage you to attend conferences quarterly to ensure that they are staying up to date with the latest legislative changes and this will help them to expand their network.

- Broad legal experience in many areas including commercial, litigation, regulatory matters (including GDPR) and employment matters

- Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management

- Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors

- Define and develop corporate policies, procedures and programs and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters globally (UK, Australia and US)

- Liaise with regulators and other external parties

- Provide guidance and advice related to various regulatory requirements and changes

- Judge the merits of major court cases filed against or on behalf of the company and work with the appropriate executive(s) to define a strategic defense

- Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders

- Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsel, politicians, clients)

- Keep abreast of legislative change; andExcellent communication skills and adept at managing senior stakeholders.

- >2 years in industry post qualification

- Strong commercial experience on multi million pound deals with large corporates

- BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree

- First class interpersonal and communication skills

- Well-versed in how business operate with financial acumen
