Educational Media Foundation (K-LOVE and Air1 Radio Networks) currently seeks a senior attorney to join our team as General Counsel. This role serves as the key legal advisor for one of the largest contemporary Christian music broadcasters in the world. In this role, you’ll drive EMF’s strategic legal direction and serve in a hands-on capacity within the ministry, reporting to the COO. You will provide proactive advice that broadly guides the Ministry’s policies and direction from a legal, governance, and best-practices perspective. The role includes a wide range of responsibilities including policy and practice development related to areas such as broadcasting, digital media, religious freedom, nonprofit corporations, and emergent technologies; advice related to pertinent legislative trends and changes; mitigation of legal and other risks associated with EMF's organization, activities, and relationships; safeguarding the integrity of EMF's reputation, programs, and mission while facilitating our prudent expansion; and serving as the principal liaison for all internal and external EMF legal matters.

This isn’t an ordinary General Counsel role and the candidates we seek won’t be ordinary either. Our culture is unique. We’re a ministry and have the privilege of being able to bring people to Christ through the wide reach of our radio networks and digital media. At K-LOVE and Air1 you’ll have the ability to combine your faith, legal expertise, and leadership experience to make a difference in the lives of millions. Our team is driven, inspired and if you ask them, they’ll say they’re fun and a little “different” (in a good way). Your specific team will include peers at a senior leadership level as well as a staff of Attorneys, a Paralegal, Administrative Assistant, and Manager of Regional Public Affairs.

If this role sounds just right for you, here’s what you’ll bring to our team.
