Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting administration or others as necessary in managing the varied legal affairs of Woman’s Hospital, including but not limited to regulatory and reimbursement issues, fraud and abuse issues, contracts, risk management, patient relations, medical staff issues, corporate transactions and governance, real estate, intellectual property and labor and employment issues. This position is also responsible for creating and maintaining a robust compliance program.

Job Knowledge:

Must have knowledge of laws and accreditation standards governing the delivery of healthcare by providers and suppliers, including hospital and physicians. Knowledge of anti-trust, acquisitions, transactions, real estate, tax, intellectual property, fraud and abuse, anti-kickback, privacy, billing and reimbursement and patient care issues is also required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work closely with healthcare providers, management, administration and executive leadership. Written and verbal communication skills including all aspects of writing technique and procedures as well as the ability to convey complex legal concepts is necessary.

Education:

Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree from an accredited college or university is required. Current admission to the Louisiana Bar Association is required.

Pay Range:

$59.41 - $88.37
