General Counsel

SAP NS2 is seeking a (General Counsel – Business Operations or Chief Counsel) at our headquarters in Herndon, Virginia. Core responsibilities include management of the legal and contracts functions, and providing expert counsel to the business on transactional, operational, risk related and litigation matters, and overseeing external legal advisors, as necessary. The position requires independent thinking with strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills, superior business judgement, the ability to resolve complex issues in an effective and solution oriented manner, and the ability to manage multiple projects and transactions at the same time. The ability to work with a team across a wide organization is critical. The individual will act as a prime contact for the relevant sales and related business teams and provide legal advice and counseling to senior management on a wide variety of matters, including federal and commercial contracting, licensing, cloud and service transactions, as well as non-disclosure, consulting, subcontract, reseller, OEM and teaming agreements. The individual must have experience with federal civilian and military procurement regulations (FAR and DFARs), regulations impacting cloud operations as well as national security laws, including the NISPOM. The position requires knowledge of intellectual property, data security, privacy, export controls, including ITAR and EAR, and corporate governance.

Must be based in Herndon, Virginia

JD from an ABA accredited law school

15 + years of law firm and/or in-house experience

Admitted and Member in Good Standing of a State Bar
