The General Counsel will have direct responsibility for all legal matters affecting True Rx and Williams Bros. Health Care Pharmacy and their related companies.  This role requires an individual with the personal confidence, legal acumen, and business savvy to operate in a highly regulated industry.  The General Counsel will exercise sound judgment and decision making. The General Counsel will ensure that the company operates within the law at all times, offer counsel on legal issues, facilitate business strategy development, ensure legal compliance, and limit risk exposure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Represent Companies’ legal interest and provide assurance of strong corporate governance and general legal housekeeping with owners, regulatory agencies, legislative bodies, auditors, and trade groups.
Scope of responsibilities will include contracts and commercial agreements, governance, intellectual property, employment and litigation/adversarial proceedings, Regulatory Compliance, and collections as needed.
Identify current and upcoming legal, regulatory, and related compliance risk specific to the pharmacy benefit management industry and determine how True Rx can offer its services in various jurisdictions while operating in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Support Williams Bros. and True Rx on employment issues and employment labor laws.
Ability to find workable solutions to complicated regulatory questions.
Analyze and understand Federal and State laws and regulations for prescription benefit management and pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

JD degree from ABA accredited law school.
Member in good standing in at least one State Bar.
Willingness to sit for the Indiana Bar exam if required.
Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous corporate law experience.
Previous experience with health insurance law, HIPPA/HITECH, ERISA regulations, etc.
Experience managing other attorneys and supervising support staff in a corporation; experience with cost-effective management of outside legal resources.
Experience/Skills:

Ability to find workable solutions to complicated regulatory questions.
Enjoys collaborating with colleagues to arrive at the best solution for Company and the client.
Gravitas and credibility to gain the confidence of executives inside and outside the Company.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory oversight.
Ability to prioritize and have good organizational skills.
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
Need to be flexible and work as a team player.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
Travel as required.
Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people to result in contractive working relationships.
