GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for providing advice and other assistance to the company regarding related legal issues for such entities and for retaining and monitoring the services performed by outside counsel. Handles legal matters relating to healthcare contracts and other business arrangements for assigned area. Handles SEC and corporate governance matters. Handles acquisitions and dispositions of business units.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Provide legal advice to a large spectrum care entities regarding general healthcare law and business issues
Review, modify, and draft contracts of all types necessary for the company’s business entities and manage transactions and corporate governance matters
Frequently interact with all levels of the company business units as well as company departments
Act as first point of contact for business units seeking legal advice
Respond to questions about the legal implications of actions taken or proposed by business entities, with emphasis on legal issues associated with healthcare contracts and other business arrangements
Provide training on legal issues to business entities as requested. Attend and make presentations at operational meetings regarding changes in the law
QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited law school located within the United States
Current license to practice law in at least one state jurisdiction in the United States
Minimum five (5) years private practice legal experience
Must be able to travel
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

Computer skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job to include Microsoft Office
