The CLO position is responsible for day-to-day analysis and counsel on legal, policy, and contractual, issues. Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company. Develop and recommend company policy and position on legal issues. Ensures the company complies with all policies and procedures set forth by the Board and Executive Committee regarding compliance of all legal aspects of the Federal Regulations

Responsibilities
POSITION PURPOSE:

The CLO position is responsible for day-to-day analysis and counsel on legal, policy, and contractual, issues. Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company. Develop and recommend company policy and position on legal issues. Ensures the company complies with all policies and procedures set forth by the Board and Executive Committee regarding compliance of all legal aspects of the Federal Regulations

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Total Education, Vocation Training, and Experience: 

Requires maintaining current active membership in the State Bar as an attorney qualified to practice law in the state of Oklahoma.

Bachelors Degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and three to five years of experience in corporate law.

Position is a senior position in the organization which requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public in all matters relating to the business of Valir Health and all affiliate companies.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to analyze case law and provide direction and recommendations to the organization;
A strong knowledge of the Federal and State laws and regulations governing health care;
Must keep abreast of changes in all aspects of the Healthcare industry;
Detailed understanding of government requirements/expectations for health care compliance programs;
Knowledge and demonstrated capacity for leadership skills are required;
Strong Interpersonal communication skills;
Ability to make independent decisions;
Strong oral and written communication, planning and problem solving skills;
Able to operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast paced environment;
Demonstrates initiative, self motivation, and an ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner;

Position has access to Protected Health Information as needed and in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Proficiency or Productivity Standards:

Organize and prioritize tasks and projects.

Accurately complete job responsibilities within the specified time constraints to meet the needs of the organization, regulatory standards, legal involvements and production satisfaction for all areas of Valir Health.
