General Counsel

Under limited supervision of the SGA Chairperson, responsible for directing, managing, and monitoring all legal services for SGA to ensure maximum protection of its legal rights and to maintain its operations within the limits prescribed by law. Provides strategic guidance, consultation, and support to senior management and the Commission on a comprehensive range of legal and associated issues involved in implementing the strategic mission, goals and objectives of SGA, and all entities in accordance with applicable tribal, state, and federal gaming regulations. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information. Pay negotiable with great benefits and this position is located in Niagara Falls, N.Y. and the deadline to apply is February 22.

Minimum Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate from an American Bar Association accredited law school. Ten years of legal experience in tribal casino operations. Member of the NY State Bar, or member of State Bar of another state. Gaming regulatory experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Seneca preference.
