General Counsel

Jackpocket is seeking an experienced General Counsel to oversee regulatory and compliance matters for the company. This person will be responsible for working with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure Jackpocket meets individual state compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
Build and manage internal processes to meet compliance standards
Work with 3rd party auditors to ensure ongoing compliance
Liaise with state lottery personnel to define and meet required standards
Test and advise product meets legal requirements
Build working relationships with existing attorneys to draft, modify and perfect regulation and legislation to position Jackpocket to ensure we are legal, compliant, and successful
Responsible for all internal and external contract negotiations
Work with patent lawyers on filing intellectual property
Must haves:
JD from top-tier law school
5+ years practicing law
Experience at a software company
Experience in a compliance / legal role
Desirables:
Experience in gaming law
Experience in other regulated markets
Has worked at a startup
Large company and small company experience
Experience in intellectual property
