We provide local dentists with extensive operational support so they can focus entirely on treating patients, strengthening their own clinical excellence, and furthering the field of dentistry. 

The General Counsel reports to the CEO and oversees all legal and regulatory affairs of the organization.  He or she will provide strategic and tactical guidance to company leadership on the issues facing a multi-site healthcare company operating in a heavily regulated environment.

Establish an in-house legal department for the company and build legal infrastructure to support all corporate departments and affiliate practices.
Serve as key legal advisor on major business transactions, including real estate leases, acquisitions and joint ventures. 
Manage litigation for various matters, including malpractice allegations, employment and labor issues.
Advise on applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding the corporate practice of dentistry including Medicaid requirements.
Draft, negotiate and execute various legal documents, including but not limited to, practice purchase agreements, provider contracts, employment contracts, consulting agreements, vendor agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
Select and oversee outside legal resources.
Manage the company’s regulatory and corporate filings.
Assume responsibility for the company’s intellectual property assets including its trademarks and copyright assets.
Skills & Requirements
 

Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
5+ years’ experience as an attorney, ideally with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
Deep knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
Experience advising clients on reimbursement, compensation arrangements, and provider-payor relationships is required. 
Experience managing outside legal counsel.
